Southeast-Trikers

Foggy Morning Trike
The Southeast-Trikers is a network of "trike" pilots, owners, students, and enthusiasts who live in the southeastern United States of America. This includes AL, AR, FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA and WV. Trikers who live in the region are invited to subscribe to the Southeast-Trikers Yahoo Groups internet discussion list.

The trike evolved from the sport of hang gliding and is sometimes referred to as a powered hang glider, flexed-wing, or powered weight shift. September 1982, the trike was among the first of the powered ultralight vehicles santioned by the FAA. September 2004, the FAA classified the trike as a new category of sport aircraft defined as weight shift control. Today, it is flown as ultralight, amateur-built, powered glider, and sport aircraft. The pilots come from varied socio-economic backgrounds and a range of flight experience from ultralight through ATP.
