Welcome! Thank you for joining me this Spring Semester 2008 for World Literature and Twentieth-Century American Literature. I am glad to have you as a student and hope that this semester will challenge you to read and write deeply, critically. By the end of the semester, I hope that you will have become a more critical thinker, able to draw from works of fiction and non-fiction ideas that will inspire you and that will enable you to inspire others. Course Syllabi Please note the course listings on this page and click on the appropriate course link to obtain the syllabus for the particular course that you are taking. Each syllabus is designed to be interactive. This means that throughout the semester, handouts for each course will be posted to the syllabus. All that you will need to do after opening up to your course syllabus is click on the appropriate link to download the handout. I will direct you to the syllabus throughout the semester when I have posted a worksheet that I would like for you to download. Office Hours, Office Visits and E-mail Contact While it is important that you refer to this website to obtain a course syllabus and any course handouts, please remember that you may also stop by my office to discuss course matters. My office is in Room 270 of the English Building and my office hours for Spring Semester 2008 are on Tuesdays and Thursdays at these times: 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. And by Appointment In addition to visiting me during office visits or appointed meetings, please feel free to contact me via e-maill.
