RE:                   KSUHSMUN 2006

Can you believe it is a new school year and time to start preparing for the 2006 Kennesaw State University High School Model UN?  Hopefully, all of you will be returning to the KSU campus for the annual simulation, scheduled for Monday and Tuesday, March 6-7, 2006.

Enclosures include: Registration Form, list of available countries, and Agenda Topics.  Please return the Registration/Country Selection Form no later than October 10, 2005.  Country assignments will be sent to you in October.  Handbook revisions, Background Guides, and a detailed program for the two-day simulation will follow in November.  Fees will be due by December 5, 2005.

Please complete the entire Registration Form, legibly, so that we have complete information for our records.  Please keep us informed as to changes in advisors, addresses, phone numbers or any other pertinent information.  It is also important that we have e-mail addresses, so that we may provide information to you and your group in a timely manner.

The facilities at Kennesaw State University comfortably accommodate a Model UN with as many as 90 countries.  Each school is limited, initially, to a selection of five (5) countries.  However, schools will be allowed more than five, in the event that additional countries are available.  Your selections will be honored insofar as it is possible.

Our Secretary General this year is Naomi Martinez, a graduate student at KSU.  She is also President of the Global Society.

The KSUHSMUN will simulate the following United Nations bodies:
