- You must submit a membership application to be eligible to vote on the Constitution or Bylaws, to run for office or to vote for officers.
- You will receive information on how to submit dues when we have elected a treasurer.

Background: An organizational meeting was held at the Georgia Mathematics Conference at Rock Eagle on Friday, October 21st. Twenty three mathematics teacher educators were present and decided to form an association affiliated with the Association of Mathematics Teacher Educators.The group named a steering committee of Greg Chamblee,(Georgia Southern), Linda Crawford (Augusta State), Brad Findell (University of Georgia), Cindy Henning (Columbus State), and Lynn Stallings (chair) and charged this steering committee with the following tasks:

finalize the constitution initially drafted by Cindy Henning (Columbus State), Clara Nosegbe Okoka (Georgia State), Lynn Stallings (Kennesaw State), and Shonda Lemmons-Smith (Georgia State);
assemble a slate of officers for the first election; and
conduct the election.
