b. Options in the matter of representation in Faculty Senate:
(1) One rep per department = 27 Faculty

(2) Two reps per department = 54 Faculty
Senators for now
(a) To provide knowledgeable representation
in case one Senator must be absent
(b) To allow for staggered terms within
departments
(3) One rep per department, with two reps
for departments (Math and
English) with over 30 = 29
Faculty Senators for now
(4) One rep per department, with two reps
for five largest departments = 32 Faculty Senators for now
(5) Super-majority voting rules to
discourage bloc voting?

Motion to establish Council Handbook Committee
a. Motion to establish a Handbook
Committee for Faculty Council: To facilitate
continuous scrutiny of the published policies and procedures that affect
Kennesaw State University faculty, I move that we establish a standing Handbook
Committee in the Faculty Council, its membership to consist of one
representative from each college, elected from the Faculty Council for two-year
terms, to be chaired by the Chair-Elect of the Faculty Council.

Motion to establish a Handbook committee
for University Senate: To facilitate
continuous scrutiny of the published policies and procedures that affect Kennesaw State University faculty,
staff, and students, I move that we establish a standing Handbook Committee in
the University Senate, its membership to consist of one representative elected
from each of the Senate Councils, to serve two-year terms, to be chaired by the
Chair-Elect of the University Senate.
