Life Span Development:

Adolescent and Young Adulthood Emphasis

 This course addresses the social, moral, emotional, physical, cognitive, and psychological development of adolescents. It emphasizes how these factors relate to learning and instruction of adolescents. We examine learning styles, developmental and cultural differences, and various levels of student abilities. A major assignment for participants is to observe adolescents in a natural setting and write a narrative that reflects upon their observations in relation to the concepts introduced in the course.
