Susan VandeVen is a Lecturer in the IT department of the School of Computing and Software Engineering. She earned a B.S. in Chemistry from Purdue Univerisity, an M.B.A. from the University of Akron, and an M.S. in Computer Science from Georgia Tech. She has industry experience in software development, IT production support and IT project management of enterprise projects at Sprint, Hewlett Packard and Agilent Technologies. She joined SPSU in 2003 and has taught IT, CS, SWE and Mgmt courses. Her particular areas of interest are programming languages ( C#, C++, Java ) and software development, acquisition and project management. Susan is the SPSU WebBSIT Coordinator/Board Member and IT Curriculum Coordinator for Programming Languages and Software. She is an advisor to 100+ WebBSIT and BSIT students. She also serves on several committees, including the SPSU Distance Learning Task Force, D2L Implementation Team, and the Science Olympiad Executive team. She is an SPSU Partner in Education for Mabry School Council.
