Dr. Xu is a tenure-track Assistant Professor and the director of the iLab-CNS (Interdisciplinary Laboratory for Cyber-Physical Systems, Network Security, and Statistical Learning) in the Department of Computer Science at Kennesaw State University. His teaching and research interests include network security, machine learning, and wireless networking. Over the years, he has published 54 papers in highly respected conferences and journals, such as IEEE/ACM Transactions on Networking and IEEE INFOCOM. He has received the best paper award from the Department of Computer Science, Illinois Institute of Technology. Dr. Xu's h-index is 18 and his total citation has exceeded 1,000 since 2013, according to Google Scholar. Four of his publications have been cited more than 100 times each. Dr. Xu has delivered more than 30 talks at conferences and universities worldwide. Dr. Xu has served on program committees of numerous international conferences. As a PI, Dr. Xu received an NSF grant totaling $244,808 among other grants.
